Confederation Marine Modellers

Events 2025

Events, past and future

Join us for weekly running of boats at Spencer Smith Park in Burlington  Tuesday mornings from 9:30 a.m. until noon and many Sunday mornings.

The Confederation Marine Modellers has a special feature at certain public events that we participate in, where we set up our portable sailing pond.

This special feature is only held at events hosted by the CMM, and is subject to weather, availability of space, and any other factors beyond the control of the club.
The Club has a number of ‘Pusher’ tugboats that are scale replicas of pusher tugs found on many inland waterways of North America. The full scale tugs are generally employed in pushing and pulling barges containing bulk cargoes up and down the rivers of the US and parts of Canada.
Our replica pusher tugs are specially built to be used, under supervision, by children, who get an opportunity to be the ‘captain’ of an RC replica model boat. They are given a personalized ‘Honourary Captain’s Certificate’ at the end of their running session, to help encourage their future interest in the event and our hobby. We ask the parents for a small donation for the child’s participation, which we accumulate over our sailing season, and then turn over 100% of the funds collected to the East Hamilton Boys & Girls Club to support their local programs.
For more information, please leave a message through our 'Contact Us' page, and a club member will get in touch with you.
